About

GView Server is a comparative microbial genomics server and front end to GView, a circular and linear genome viewer. A single reference genome (in GenBank, EMBL) can be uploaded and the appearance customized, or multiple genomes can be uploaded to perform comparative analysis. GView Server uses BLAST to compare the reference to the comparison sequences and can perform a number of useful and commonly performed comparative analyses. User accounts are available to review and download previous analyses. For detailed instructions on how to use GView Server visit the User Guide. For examples of some of the comparative analysis tasks that GView Server can perform see the Examples page.

GView Server is released under the GPL v3 license. The current source can be downloaded at gview-server.src.tar.gz (96.0 MB). See the included README and INSTALL files for instructions on how to install GView Server.
